EFFECTS OF KOREAN DRAMA
You are sitting in a cafe with your miniskirt, off shoulder dress and favorite shoes while drinking and savoring your hot brewed coffee in a cold weather,. While waiting for your main course you decided to stand up and get it but suddenly you slipped on the floor. Grasping your breathe and thinking you have been thrown from outer space, a warm catch make you feel safe. This is the most common scene in Korean Dramas which make the new generation feel kilig- chilling, shimmering and electrifying to the bones.

If you are an avid fan watching K dramas, well your eyes may now look smaller or bigger than its original size-more glimmering and stunning in every eyeliner that make your eyelids darker and mascara that makes your eyelashes thicker and bolder. Your skin from tan brown may now become white or rosy crush by glutathione, kojic and other soap. Your face may now patched with cream, powder and foundation. For the boys your T- shirts may now become long sleeves or layered by many jackets. Even our words changed too.

Despite of kilig to the bones sensation lies a sad truth that you and other Filipinos forgotten who really we are. Instead of wearing thick make up let us wear smiles together with values and characters as Filipinos. How can someone love somebody who is not even true to herself. We don't need to wear thick jackets and long sleeves and look like an Eskimo from Atlantic or north pole lost in the Philippines but we should wear courage, patriotism and kindness as our Filipino identity. Do not live fantasy, be true, be a Filipino! Live reality and the true people will surely love you truly.
